Lake Murray Fishing Guide Marco Vaca
Lake Pro Guide Marco Vaca splits his time as a guide between Lake Arbuckles and Lake Murray in Oklahoma.
Lake Pro Guide Marco Vaca has been a fisherman for more than twenty-five years, and for someone in his early thirties, that is impressive. Marco has traveled the country for more than a decade fishing and searching for trophy-class fish in a variety of species. But, his true passion is hunting the fish that fights harder, strikes faster, and bends a rod deeper, the bass!
What we love about Marco is his willingness to teach anyone to become a better fisherman. A true steward of the sport. Where others might choose to hide away their tactics and strategies, Marco is happy to give anglers of all skill levels around the country an in-depth look at the techniques a world-class bass angler uses to catch more and bigger fish.
Fishing Lake Murray
Part of Lake Murray State Park, Lake Murray is located in south central Oklahoma, near Ardmore. Named for Oklahoma Governor William H. Murray, the lake was created by damming Anadarche and Fourche Maline Creeks.
The clear spring-fed water of Lake Murray makes sight fishing fairly easy. If you are angling for largemouth, you'll want to stick to the north end of the lake, specifically the shallow areas where you'll find grass, reeds, and other structure.
