About Lake Leon, Texas
Lake Leon is another reservoir in the Brazos River basin and was created by a damn on the Leon River, a tributary of Little River, which is tributary to the Brazos River. This reservoir is owned by the Eastland County Water Supply District for municipal and industrial water supply purposes and is located seven miles southeast of Eastland in central West Texas.
Fishing Lake Leon
Lake Leon is a favorite for anglers who prefer to fish a variety of cover - including boat docks, standing timber, creek channels, aquatic vegetation, rocky areas, riprap, and brush. As far as species go, Lake Leon is of course known for Bass - but also has good populations of Channel cats, Sunfish and White Bass.
The record Largemouth Bass on Lake Leon is 13 pounds and was caught by Brad Scott in March of 2019.
