Imakatsu pioneers the creation of bass-shaped worms that are completely tailored to resemble bass in silhouette and movement.
There are so many different kinds of gill-shaped worms, but why aren't there any bass-shaped worms? This question was the starting point for the development of the industry's first bass-shaped soft bait, called "Bass Worm." The slit on only one side creates the action of a bass worm, which is the basic concept of a bass worm: "a small bass desperately struggling to hide."
The concept behind this worm is to mimic baitfish desperately trying to escape predators by hiding in cover such as rocks and trees.
By fixing a heavy, low-center-of-gravity sinker to the bottom as a pivot point and shaking it in one spot, it mimics baitfish desperately trying to escape into obstacles by sticking its head in and struggling.
