Utilizing the Shanes Bait's Mini Blades of Glory, Sam loves the power and precision the umbrella rig creates by lightening the overall rig while still offering a solid platform to reel in the big fish. 

Sam recommends any rod from 6'10" to 7'9" MH rod. With the longer style rods he like a little bit more parabolic action. A 100-200 size reel and 14-18lb fluorocarbon is also recommended.
